Headquartered in Rosemead, Calif., SCE is the largest electric utility in California and one of the nation’s largest investor-owned electric utilities. SCE generates over 5,000 megawatts of power through hydro, natural gas-fired and nuclear power generating facilities that it owns and operates. The company constructs and maintains a vast system of poles, towers, wires and substations that safely and reliably distribute electricity to our customers.

SCE’s service territory includes about 430 cities and communities with a total customer base of about 4.8 million residential and business accounts. As of September 2008, SCE had consolidated assets of nearly $29.8 billion. SCE is regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
