Market Participant
An entity that buys, sells and/or delivers electrical energy or services in the electrical energy marketplace.
Market Power
The ability to influence commodity pricing in a competitive market.

Master of Business Administration
Megawatt (MW)
One million watts, or 1,000 kilowatts, which is enough energy to power about 750 to 1,000 average California homes at any given time. A megawatt is the basic unit for measuring power generation and is the billing unit for wholesale electricity.
