- Underground
- Those lines and apparatus below ground, in vaults or manholes, or directly buried in the ground itself.
- Underground Cable
- An insulated cable placed in an underground conduit or direct buried.
- Utility Distribution Company (UDC)
- A distribution wires business and a regulated retailer that serves end-use customers. Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric and San Diego Gas & Electric are UDCs.
